Every Obeng Asare game follows the same simple shape. Once you know it for one game, you know it for all of them.
02Choose your numbers
For 5/90 games (the weekday draws), pick 5 numbers between 1 and 90. For Saturday Jackpot and Grand Fortune, pick 6 from 49. For Daily Lotto, pick 5 from 35. Don't have a favourite set? Use Quick Pick — the system picks at random.
03Choose your play type
5/90 games support four play types — Direct, Perm, Banker, and Against (explained below). Saturday Jackpot, Grand Fortune, and Daily Lotto have one straightforward way to play: match the winning numbers.
04Stake and confirm
Choose how much you want to stake (minimum GH₵1, no upper limit on most games). Pay the agent or your mobile money line. Keep your slip or SMS confirmation safe — you'll need it to claim.

The four play types
Five winning numbers are drawn from a pool of 90. You don't have to match all five — how you stake decides what counts as a win and how much you take home.
The classic play. Choose between 1 and 5 numbers. If they appear among the five winning numbers, you win — the more you match, the bigger the payout. Direct 1 is the easiest way in.
Pick more numbers than you need (e.g. 6) and play every possible combination of 2 or 3 of them. One stake, multiple chances. Costs more but covers many lines at once.
Pick a "banker" number you're confident about, plus a set of other numbers. The banker must come up; combinations with the others determine your prize. A favourite among regulars.
Pick two numbers you believe will not appear among the five winners. If neither shows up, you win at the published "Against" odds. Higher risk, higher reward.
Stake amounts and exact payouts are listed on every agent's price board and on the back of every slip. Same payouts at every authorised agent in Ghana.

All prizes are paid in Ghana cedis. Tickets are valid for 90 days from the date of the draw — lose this window and the prize returns to the pool.

Take your winning ticket to any authorised agent. They'll verify it on the spot and pay you in cash. No appointment, no paperwork — bring a Ghana Card if asked.
≤GH₵ 50,000
Visit any of our regional offices (Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Sunyani). Bring your ticket, Ghana Card, and bank details. Funds are paid by cheque or bank transfer the same day.

FAQ
Common questions
How old do I need to be to play?
You must be 18 or older. Agents and POS operators are required to verify age before selling a ticket. Tickets sold to under-18s are void and stakes are not refunded.
What is the minimum stake?
GH₵1 on every game except Grand Fortune (GH₵5 minimum) and Daily Lotto perms. There is no maximum — the only limit is the prize cap on certain fixed-odds plays.
Can I play more than one set of numbers on one slip?
Yes. A standard slip has space for up to 6 lines — pick a different combination on each line, mark a separate stake per line, and pay the total. Each line is treated as an independent bet.
If my numbers come up but I lose the slip, can I still claim?
The printed slip (or SMS ticket ID for mobile play) is the only proof of stake. Without it we cannot pay out, even if we can see that a winning ticket was sold. Treat it like cash.
Are taxes taken from my winnings?
Yes — under the 2023 Income Tax (Amendment) Act, a 10% withholding tax applies to lottery winnings above GH₵2,500. We deduct it at source and issue a tax certificate. Smaller prizes are paid in full.
How are draws verified?
Every draw is conducted on camera at our Accra HQ in the presence of an NLA inspector and a representative from KPMG. Live streams of all draws are archived on our YouTube channel for public review.
